The Helixis Young Investigator
Award was created following the
passion of Dr. David Baltimore
to support the innovation and
creativity of young academic
scientists.
Winning entries from around the
world will be awarded a FREE
PIXOTM
REAL-TIME PCR SYSTEM and one
year of personalized technical
support by a Helixis scientist.
A Committee of Scientific
Advisors will select the winners
based on scientific merit,
originality and the use of
Real-Time PCR as a key method
within the project.
To enter this competition,
complete the form on the right,
including the summary of your
study proposal. Because of
popular demand, the completed
application form and support
materials deadline has been
extended to December 31,
2009.
Award winners will be
announced on the Helixis website
shortly.
We want to thank all the
scientists who have submitted
great applications to the 2009
Helixis Young Investigator
Award. We are truly impressed
and honored by the quality of
the research projects that were
submitted.
The committee of Scientific
Advisors has finalized the
selection of three winners. We
are now contacting each winner
directly, and will subsequently
post the announcement on this
page.
For those who did not get to
submit this year, we look
forward to hearing from you for
the 2010 YIA.
